Want a new backyard shed but don't want to pay 1000's for it? I was in the same boat, I needed a shed but I did not want to pay an arm and a leg. My cousin pointed me to a web site that offers DIY shed plans for cheap.

The shed plans cost me less than 50 bucks and the material was less than 300 bucks; it took me 2 days to build it - Truly.

More on that in a minute, here is the cool thing - my 50 bucks bought me not only over 20 different style shed plans, it also came with over 14,000 other DIY woodworking plans!

Honestly, table plans, chair plans, bed plans, garage plans, box plans, book self plans, chicken coop plans - I could go on and on, I was really surprised.

What I wanted was a shed to not only house my lawn mower and yard tools, but I figured since I was building it, it should be big enough so I could have a little shop too. The diy shed plans I bought had the perfect design.

One side of my shed is for all my yard equipment and tools. The back end is all shelves, and the other side has a work bench and storage for all my other tools. In the middle I have a table for ripping and routing and clamping. And there is more than enough room to navigate around.

The plans had a complete material list. All I had to do was print that out and send it to a few timber yards for pricing. Now this is important, do not just go to one place to buy your materials. There was a big price difference between lumber yards and if I used the one closest to my house, I would had paid 20% more than I needed to for materials!

The lumber yard dropped off the material on a Friday morning and I got to building my diy shed that next day. In on e day I got all the framing up and the siding. The next day I roofed it and got the shelves built; I painted it the following Saturday and just like that I was complete.

I am genuinely pleased with the diy shed plans I bought and I am genuinely looking forward to other projects. The plans were super easy to use and to follow.

The best thing is I will never have to spend another dime on any diy wood working plans.

My next project is a captains bed, which I will build in my new shed using my diy plans; there was 15 different captains bed plans to choose from. I may possibly never buy another piece of furniture from the store.
