7 Tips About Using The Law Of Attraction

It is important to really understand how the Law of Attraction really works and this is done by studying the many books out there that address the subject. Here are some tips about how you can use the Law of Attraction to make positive changes in your life.

1) Do not dwell on what you see around you right now.
We all have a tendency to think that because we have a difficult relationship with our child right now, for example, it means that we will always have a difficult relationship with him. Our ego takes our experiences in the past and tries to project them out into the future. Nobody can predict the future; the only thing we can depend on is that there will be change at some point (and that there will be death and taxes). Since we are making up a story about what will happen in the future anyway (our ego's negative story) we might as well decide that the future will be a good one and make up a positive story about what we would like to see happen.

2) Do not dwell on the negative
We are biologically wired to dwell on the negative, the disturbing, and the upsetting things that happen in our lives. That can be a good thing when we are exposed to real danger and must react to it quickly. In today's society we are not exposed to real danger very often but are constantly stressed by little negative things, and these little things literally wear us out. We must make a concentrated effort to search out and celebrate the good things in our lives. If you really look for them, the world is full of wonderful things to enjoy, no matter how badly off you think you are.

3) Be grateful for what you have
We all have so many things to be grateful for. No matter how badly off you think you are, there is always someone else worse off than you. Be grateful you can eat three meals a day; many people in the world are starving. Be grateful you have a roof over your head; many people do not. Be grateful you can read; many people can not. Be grateful you can go about your errands without worrying where the next bomb will come from; many people can not. When all else fails, all of us can be grateful for the sun and the rain, the plants and animals. We can be grateful for life itself.

4) Be clear about what you really want
It has often been said that most people spend more time planning a vacation than they do in planning their life. Have you ever stopped to think about what it is that you really value, and really want in your life? Most people will say "I want more money" but can not really tell you WHY they want more money. They do not know what they would do with it once they had it, because they do not know what is most important to them. Most people have no goals in life, so they would not know whether or if they achieved a goal.

5) Do not need it.
There is a difference between wanting and needing. When you want something, you feel good about it because you're confident you will have it eventually. When you need something, you feel bad about it because you are not focused upon that desirable thing. Instead you are focused on the fact that you do not have it and you are afraid that you will not get it in time, or perhaps even never. You are feeling fear and are focused on lack. The lack of it is what you are going to get because that is your focus. Do not get to the point where you absolutely need something.

6) Be clear about who you really are
We all underestimate ourselves. We have been told in the past, either directly by our families, or indirectly by our society, that we have limits and weaknesses, and things that we should not do because they would not approve. None of this is true. When other people criticize or judge us, it is not a reflection on who we are as much as a reflection on how they view themselves and the world. In truth, we are children of God, and have the same power to create our lives. The only limits we have are the ones that we place upon ourselves. When we truly understand that we can be, do, or have anything we want, then we can take action to acquire everything we want.

7) Take Action
Nothing happens until we take action. Procrastination is probably the biggest reason why people do not achieve success. They never get started, usually because they are afraid of all the things that could go wrong. The hardest part of the journey is taking that first step.
Once we get going, we build momentum. We make mistakes and we learn from them about what not to do next time. We find the people and circumstances that will help us move forward. No matter how long or hard the journey, if we keep moving forward, even at an achingly slow pace, we will eventually get to our destination. Do not be afraid of mistakes and obstacles. The truth is that the more pain and struggle you went through on the journey, the happier and more fulfilled you will be when you finally reach your goal.

Utilizing the Law of Attraction is all about awareness of all the good things in life. You need to be aware of the good things you already have, of the ones that you want, and of your power to have those things for the future. It is about letting go of the negative. It is about taking inspired action to get what you want. It is about reaching your full potential.
