The article must be original and not be copied from other sources. You are not allowed to use public domain articles to submit to the directories. The article should not be too long. Most people don’t have time to read a long article. The visitors want to find information in the article quickly. The article title must be presented in lower case except the first letter of each word. The title should not be presented in uppercase letters. Common words such as to, from and etc should not have their first letter capitalized. If you prepare your article in a Microsoft Word, you will notice that the common words will be highlighted on red when you attempt to capitalize the first letter. The title should not have quotes. In addition, the title should not have a period. Punctuation is allowed in the title. However, you cannot use too much punctuation in the title. For example, it is appropriate use a question mark at the back of a title.
The title should not be stuffed with keywords. The keyword density of the title should be 2 – 3%. If the keyword repeats too many times in the title, it is considered as spam. The editor will put your article in pending again and ask you to correct it. After that, you will have to wait for 1 week for your article to get reviewed and approved. If you don’t know what keyword to include in the title, you can use the keyword research tool. The keyword you use in the title should be the used in the article body as well. Just like the title, the article should have a keyword density of 2 – 3%. The title must be interesting and be able to grab the attention of the people. It should not be a common title that is already used by many people. If the title is already used by someone else, the editor will tell you to change the title to a different title.
The resource box is where you can include links to your site. Every article directory has different rules regarding the number of links you can include in the resource box. You can refer to the submission guidelines of the article directories. In the resource box, you can describe about your products and services in 2 – 3 sentences. The resource box should not be too long. Normally, the article directories have a word count limit in the resource box.
