The idea of the bathroom radiator was for years the standard plain white heating element. However through advancement in technology the standard bathroom radiator has evolved in to the designer element of the towel rail.
Towel rails and radiators are often overlooked when designing your bathroom, but without taking proper care and attention when choosing yours, your bathroom could result in being cold, wet and mossy. Should you prefer something more modern then possibly take a look at the chrome heated towel rail or possibly a matte black one. However if the look you're seeking is one of a more classic home then maybe a traditional heated rail would be tailored better to your needs. Luckily the technology used is modern whether or not the style is, meaning that you are less likely to have to reinstall pipework or fittings if you pick a newly designed traditional radiator.
It is a proven fact that it is unhygienic to re-use a wet or damp towel. All kinds of dirt and germs can gather on them from the residue from being left out to dry without being heated. Damp towel rails and damp bathrooms in general start to smell and this is not pleasant for anyone who uses it and will no doubt create a negative impression on guests or prospective house buyers and such. A radiator would help to combat this problem by quickly and efficiently heating your towel until it is dry.
The Installation of a new towel rail is relatively simple. Most take little to no DIY expertise and simply require you to safely follow instructions provided by the manufacturer, however as with all DIY installations seek advice before taking extreme measures. Making sure that the requirements of the towel rail are met before purchase otherwise you might be left with a cold bathroom and damp towels.
