It does not really matter how good a writer you are, if you confuse your readers then you will stop them in their tracks and with this you have given the chance to realise that there are other things that they should be doing and with that they will be off. If you want them to go with you then you must keep the flow going.

Once you know what is getting them all fired up, do you have an offer to help them solve this issue, this need not be a sales product it could simply be an opt-in or blog page. It is important that you consider this first as this is going to be the point where you realise or dash their hopes and they walk away without every reading your information.
Having checked your destination you now need to create the route. You are aware of what is troubling your market thus your job is to provide a solution to this and of course make it available to them and a whole host of further solutions should they follow your link.
As they read your article you will hopefully be engaging with the hopeful and aspirational side of their emotion, they have been looking for this solution and you are providing it without any complications or tricks.
As they approach the end of your article it is now time to get them thinking about how they can make this solution even more complete with the further information available through the link, this is of course where most people come unstuck.
The mood is set, you have them in a meadow, the birds are singing and its a lovely sunrise, your reader is in a good place. They click your link and you dump them in the middle of the freeway, well there goes the mood and your reader.
Always ensure the link you send them to makes sense with regard to the information and mood that you have created using your article.
