Norwegian wedding dress is one of the most beautiful wedding gowns that a bride may fancy to wear in her wedding. This is a simple, elegant and good-looking style. One of the wedding gowns that may inspire you to create your own wedding gown is Mette Marit’s wedding dress. If you Google the keyword “Mette Marit Wedding Gown” you will see in Google image search results, the picture of it. This dress was a nice ecru-colored silk crepe gown that was designed by Ove Harder Finseth and Anna Bratland. This type of wedding gown was made for a royal wedding, but you may get inspired by having such style for your own wedding.

Some brides like to make their gown very comprehensive with implementing pearls on the dress and some organza around the skirt. However a modern wedding gown style 2010 is more simple and elegant than complicated style in last decade.

Numerous brides desire to wear their mother’s wedding gown. But the problem is that many of these gowns are difficult to wear as our new generation is different from the old generation. They used to have smaller waist and breasts, but with all these hormone injected food that we consume every day, most of the new brides have bigger size breasts and body shape. The bone structure is also different, bigger and stronger than in old days. That is why many brides may not be able to wear their mothers’ wedding gown. Another problem is the style, and the fabric may be damaged. In fact the new generation of women is in better body shape than in old days. In Norway many grooms wear traditional Norwegian costume which is called “Bunad”. Some brides also prefer to wear “Bunad” This is a colorful gown in Norway that people wear either at the weddings or May 17th ( Norwegian independent day), during new year or Christmas. The gown is decorated with silver and gold and there are some objects that dangle around the crown. When the bride moves here head these bangles make a melodic sound.

According to Norwegian tradition bridesmaids also wear this kind of costume during the wedding. The reason that bridesmaids wear almost the same gown as the bride is to keep the evil spirits away from the bride. Music is one of the most important things in a Norwegian wedding. When the Norwegian bride and groom exchange the ring which is gold or silver, they kiss each other which mean that they are officially husband and wife. Then the guests and family members wish them happiness through giving wedding toast. Every person gives a toast and among these toast they may even talk about brides wedding gown or something similar.

There are many wedding dress styles that you can choose from Silk-taffeta bustier bridal gown to Silk-organza ruffled gown. The most important fact is to make your wedding memorable with a good-looking wedding dress.
