Using Creative Value to Overcome Writers Block

If you are a content provider then you will have heard and most likely experienced the problem of writers block. This can be a really soul-destroying period as you are only too aware that your success depends on you completing the assignment for your client, even if you are the client.

The best solution to this is to walk away from the problem, at least for a short while.

I often find myself faced with this problem and I have previously forced out the content, this is not a good idea as it takes far longer and produces a result of lower value and quality.

The better option is to stay productive by avoiding the issue and looking for inspiration in those other traffic generation tasks that you are required to do on a daily basis. Often the time spent trying to produce when you are not in the correct mindset means you run out of time to do these essential tasks. Therefore it makes sense to do these first, even though they are not the most important items on your schedule.

If you heed my advice and turn your world upside down, you will find that your period of creation becomes far more successful and enjoyable. Producing content by its very nature is a solitary business, in the creation of an animated movie for example, there can be hundreds of artists involved and yet for large parts of their time they will be working alone.

Take the time to stay up to date with the current events in your niche but do it from a personal perspective, I am a big fan of Google Alerts but they have limitations when it comes to inter-personal engagement. Yes I receive the inspiration but the human element is lacking.

Once you have decided that you need to take a break from being creative then your best option is to complete the tasks that have rapid outcomes. My favorite one for those that are really struggling is to participate in JV giveaway events. These events can of course be fantastically time consuming, however if you use an event manager you can quickly join all of the latest events in minutes. The end result is that you bring new customers into your world, whilst providing an insight into your niches latest trends.

However these events are very specific to the Internet marketing niche and thus may not be suitable for you. Therefore you will have to turn to other solutions and if I were you I would turn immediately to your top 3 niche forums, if you do more than this you will find that you have turned adding creative value to the conversation into a chore. Currently social sites are the place to be and in your current mindset these are great places to visit, for once here you can explain your situation. I am sure your friends will be only too happy to provide you with some useful advice.

With this journey complete, you can look back and feel proud that even before you have produced your content there are people whose lives have benefited from your advice and wisdom. This new piece of content has an audience waiting for it and are you going to let them down?
