Pakistani and Indian Recipe

Cuisines belonging to the South East Asian region, which covers the countries of Pakistan and India, have become a favorite among people all over the globe. This international recognition is a modern pattern. The Indian and Pakistani food gives a taste disparate from any other cuisine in the west. The Moghuls entered this region and brought with them these tasty dishes with their authentic Turkish and Persian influences. Dishes like kebabs, biryani and various styles of curry were strong facets of Mughlai (of or pertaining to the Moguls) culinary.

Many of the dishes have Persian names which was the accepted language in the court of the Moguls. The tasty include of a form of meatballs with curry called karhaii and koftas that is basically a chicken curry with plenty of tomatoes, Barbecued skewered pieces of chicken named Tikka, a mince meat dish termed Qeema, a rice recipe named Pulao, a piquant meat concoction that employs numerous authentic herbs called Nihari and not to mention their popular bread termed Naan that is a round, fluffy version of bread a bit like pizza bread and a flatter version named chapatti.

There is also a kind of fried bread prepared with frying oil called paratha. The traditional naan could also be stuffed with a range of cooking elements like minced meat to form whats referred to as qeema naan and one may also stuff it with potatoes to make Aaloo naan


The cuisine also includes delicious sweets too. The gulab jaman which is a type of dessert prepared in the form of small balls, and immersed in sweet syrup; Sheer Khurma that is a blend of roasted vermicelli boiled in sugared, condensed milk. There is also a sort of rice pudding named kheer. They also prepare a number of desserts similar to jam called Murrabba that is a fruit preserved in sugar, and retains the nicety of the fruit. Any fruit may be employed for this recipe but the favored ones are the ones made with mangoes, apples and apricots.
