Over the last decade the bathroom has evolved in to one of the most popular rooms for redesigning or remodeling due to the vast array of furniture and accessories now available.

The choice available today when we want to replace our present bathroom is as great if not greater than it has ever been before. The fantastic choices and ranges of shapes, colours and styles that can be found in the bath alone are as awe inspiring. Baths are now available in modern and traditional styles such as the Victorian roll top baths, slipper baths, cast iron baths and much more which come with a choice of feet is just a small selection to consider. Matching basins in Victorian or Edwardian style is an option which differs from the more contemporary types and then for additional fixtures you can choose such items as modern toilet suites, vanities and bidets which appeal to all sizes of bathrooms.

If you have decided on a retro look as opposed to a contemporary designer style for your new bathroom, you may want to consider completing this with a telephone bath and shower mixer, particularly if you are retaining your existing over bath shower, perhaps to supplement a new shower unit you are contemplating, and it is true that the exciting range of bath and shower mixers has never been greater. The modern tap no longer relies on old fashioned washers but features ceramic and laser technology making them virtually maintenance free and is an option that many people choose to add to an existing bathroom suite to give it an impressive transformation at a modest cost. Similarly mixer taps for the bathroom and pull out taps for the kitchen are the perfect addition to add that extra touch to transform a new sink or wash basin.

When choosing your new bathroom suite, perhaps you should look at the new range of bathroom accessories that can be found ranging from soap dishes, bathroom mirrors to toothbrush holders as inexpensive examples. Subtle use of mirrors and lights within the bathroom can totally transform the appearance of the room by giving the illusion of greater space, giving it light and width as well as being functional. Lighting should be a primary consideration when designing a bathroom or cloakroom it not only adds charm and character but can give off a warm and inviting tranquility.

We should not forget when considering a new bathroom the addition of miscellaneous fixtures and fittings that can add class to the area and also makes the bathroom or shower area a much better place to use. The addition of the robe hook, or simple replacement of the cistern handle can make that difference to the look of your bathing area. The available range of bathroom furniture, fixtures and fittings has never been better and your choice never easier.
